Psalm 123 in Tamil

1. 1

   பரலோகத்தில் வாசமாயிருக்கிறவரே, உம்மிடத்திற்கு என் கண்களை ஏறெடுக்கிறேன்.

   A Song of degrees. Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.

2. 2

   இதோ, வேலைக்காரரின் கண்கள் தங்கள் எஜமான்களின் கையைநோக்கியிருக்குமாப்போலவும், வேலைக்காரியின் கண்கள் தன் எஜமாட்டியின்கையை நோக்கியிருக்குமாப்போலவும், எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் எங்களுக்கு இரக்கஞ்செய்யும்வரைக்கும், எங்கள் கண்கள் அவரை நோக்கியிருக்கிறது.

   Behold, as the eyes of servants [look] unto the hand of their masters, [and] as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes [wait] upon the LORD our God, until that he have mercy upon us.

3. 3

   எங்களுக்கு இரங்கும் கர்த்தாவே, எங்களுக்கு இரங்கும்; நிந்தனையினால்மிகவும் நிறைந்திருக்கிறோம்.

   Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.

4. 4

   சுகஜீவிகளுடைய நிந்தனையினாலும், அகங்காரிகளுடைய இகழ்ச்சியினாலும், எங்கள் ஆத்துமா மிகவும் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது. (தாவீது பாடின ஆரோகண சங்கீதம்.)

   Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, [and] with the contempt of the proud.
