1 ಕೊರಿಂಥದವರಿಗೆ 9
ನಾನು ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲನಲ್ಲವೇ? ನಾನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರನಲ್ಲವೇ? ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನನ್ನು ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದವನಲ್ಲವೇ? ಕರ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸವಲ್ಲವೇ?
Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord?
ನಾನು ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲನಲ್ಲವೇ? ನಾನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರನಲ್ಲವೇ? ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನನ್ನು ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದವನಲ್ಲವೇ? ಕರ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸವಲ್ಲವೇ?
If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.
ನನ್ನನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸು ವವರಿಗೆ ಇದೇ ನನ್ನ ಉತ್ತರ.
Mine answer to them that do examine me is this,
ತಿನ್ನುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಕುಡಿಯು ವದಕ್ಕೂ ನಮಗೆ ಹಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲವೇ?
Have we not power to eat and to drink?
ಸಹೋದರಿಯಾಗಿ ರುವ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಸಂಚರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮಿಕ್ಕಾದ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರಂತೆಯೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಸಹೋದರ ರಂತೆಯೂ ಕೇಫನಂತೆಯೂ ನಮಗೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ವಿಲ್ಲವೇ?
Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and [as] the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?
ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಕೆಲಸಮಾಡದೆ ಇರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೂ ಬಾರ್ನಬನಿಗೂ ಮಾತ್ರ ಅಧಿಕಾರವಿಲ್ಲವೇ?
Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power to forbear working?
ಸ್ವಂತ ಖರ್ಚಿನಿಂದ ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಯಾವಾಗಲಾದರೂ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವದುಂಟೇ? ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ತೋಟವನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟ ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಅದರ ಫಲವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನದಿರುವ ದುಂಟೇ? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಮಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಮೇಯಿಸಿದ ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಮಂದೆಯ ಹೈನವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನದಿರುವ ದುಂಟೇ?
Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?
ಮನುಷ್ಯ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೋ? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವು ಸಹ ಇದನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ?
Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also?
ಕಣತುಳಿಯುವ ಎತ್ತಿನ ಬಾಯನ್ನು ನೀನು ಕಟ್ಟಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಮೋಶೆಯ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದದೆ. ದೇವರು ಚಿಂತಿಸು ವದು ಎತ್ತುಗಳಿಗಾಗಿಯೋ?
For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?
ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ವಾಗಿಯೇ ಆತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೋ? ಉಳುವವನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಿಂದ ಉಳಬೇಕು, ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಣತುಳಿಸು ವವನು ತನ್ನ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲುಗಾರನಾಗಿರಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ನಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಿಸ್ಸಂದೇಹವಾಗಿ ಇದು ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.
Or saith he [it] altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, [this] is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.
ನಾವು ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಆತ್ಮಸಂಬಂಧ ವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಶಾರೀರಿಕ ವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ಯುವದು ದೊಡ್ಡದೋ?
If we have sown unto you spiritual things, [is it] a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?
ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಅಧಿಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇತರರಿಗೆ ಪಾಲು ಇದ್ದರೆ ಅವರಿಗಿಂತ ನಮಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಇರಬೇಕಲ್ಲಾ. ಆದರೂ ನಾವು ಈ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ನಡಿಸದೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿಮಾಡಬಾರದೆಂದು ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಸಹಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡಿರುತ್ತೇವೆ.
If others be partakers of [this] power over you, [are] not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.
ಪವಿತ್ರವಾದವುಗಳ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುವವರು ಆಲಯದವುಗಳಿಂದ ಜೀವಿಸುವರೆಂದೂ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುವವರು ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪಾಲುಗಾರರೆಂದೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲವೋ?
Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live [of the things] of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?
ಅದೇ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುವವರು ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಜೀವನ ಮಾಡ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು.
Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
ಆದರೆ ಇವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದನ್ನೂ ನಾನು ಉಪ ಯೋಗಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನನಗೆ ಹಾಗೆ ಆಗಲೆಂದು ನಾನು ಈ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆಯಲೂ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಳಪಡುವದನ್ನು ಯಾವ ನಾದರೂ ವ್ಯರ್ಥ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಸಾಯುವದೇ ನನಗೆ ಮೇಲು.
But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for [it were] better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.
ನಾನು ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರಿದರೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳ ಪಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೇನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಸಾರಲೇ ಬೇಕೆಂಬ ನಿರ್ಬಂಧ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದೆ. ಹೌದು, ನಾನು ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರದಿದ್ದರೆ ನನಗೆ ಅಯ್ಯೋ!
For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
ನಾನು ಇದನ್ನು ಇಷ್ಟಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ನನಗೆ ಬಹುಮಾನವುಂಟು. ನನ್ನ ಇಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯ ವಿಷಯವಾದ ದೈವನೇಮವು ನನ್ನ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ.
For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation [of the gospel] is committed unto me.
ಹಾಗಾ ದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಬಹುಮಾನ ಯಾವದು? ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುವಾಗ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನನ್ನ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ನಾನು ದುರುಪ ಯೋಗ ಮಾಡದಂತೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಉಚಿತವಾಗಿ ಸಾರುವದೇ ನನ್ನ ಬಹುಮಾನ.
What is my reward then? [Verily] that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.
ಎಲ್ಲರಿಂದಲೂ ನಾನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರನಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನರನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಸೇವಕನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
For though I be free from all [men], yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯನಾಗಿಯೂ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಅಧೀನದಲ್ಲಿರುವವರನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧೀನರಾಗಿರು ವವರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧೀನನಾಗಿಯೂ
And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
(ನಾನು ದೇವರ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವಿಲ್ಲದವ ನಂತಲ್ಲ, ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾದವನೇ;) ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವಿಲ್ಲದವರನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳು ವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವಿಲ್ಲದವ ನಂತೆಯೂ ಆದೆನು.
To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
ಬಲವಿಲ್ಲದವರನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬಲವಿಲ್ಲದವನಂತಾದೆನು; ಯಾವ ವಿಧದಲ್ಲಿಯಾದರೂ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯಾರಾರಿಗೆ ಎಂಥೆಂಥವನಾಗಬೇಕೋ ಅಂಥವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all [men], that I might by all means save some.
ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯ ಫಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲುಗಾರನಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಸುವಾರ್ತೆ ಗೋಸ್ಕರವೇ ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.
And this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I might be partaker thereof with [you].
ರಂಗಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಓಡುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಓಡುತ್ತಾರಾ ದರೂ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಬಹುಮಾನವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾ ನೆಂಬದು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದೋ? ಅವರಂತೆ ನೀವೂ ಬಹುಮಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂತಲೇ ಓಡಿರಿ.
Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
ಪ್ರವೀಣತೆಗಾಗಿ ಹೋರಾಡುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿತವಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವರಾ ದರೋ ನಾಶವಾಗುವ ಕಿರೀಟವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಳ್ಳು ವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಹೋರಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ನಾವಾದರೋ ನಾಶ ವಾಗದ ಕಿರೀಟಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ಹೋರಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ.
And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they [do it] to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಸಹ ಗುರಿಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲದವನಾಗಿ ಓಡದೆ ಗೆಲ್ಲಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರಂತೆಯೇ ಓಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಾನು ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಗುದ್ದುವವನಾಗಿರದೆ ಗೆಲ್ಲಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೋರಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಬೇರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಸಾರಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾವ ವಿಧದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಾನು ಭ್ರಷ್ಠನಾಗದಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಅಧೀನತೆಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟು ಅದನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಬೇರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಸಾರಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾವ ವಿಧದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಾನು ಭ್ರಷ್ಠನಾಗದಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಅಧೀನತೆಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟು ಅದನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
But I keep under my body, and bring [it] into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
