1. 1

   ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ನೀವು ಹೇಗೆ ನಡೆದು ಕೊಂಡು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ನೀವು ಹೆಚ್ಚೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾವು ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ವಿನ ಮೂಲಕ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.

   Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort [you] by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, [ so] ye would abound more and more.

2. 2

   ನಾವು ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಮೂಲಕ ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀವು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

   For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

3. 3

   ದೇವರ ಚಿತ್ತವೇನಂದರೆ, ನೀವು ಶುದ್ಧರಾಗಿರಬೇಕೆಂಬದೇ; ಆದದರಿಂದ ಹಾದರಕ್ಕೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.

   For this is the will of God, [even] your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

4. 4

   ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಪವಿತ್ರತೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಘನತೆ ಯಿಂದಲೂ ತನ್ನ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ತಿಳಿಯಬೇಕು.

   That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;

   ದೇವರನ್ನರಿಯದ ಅನ್ಯಜನಗಳಂತೆ ಕಾಮಾಭಿಲಾಷೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಡಬಾರದು.

   Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:

6. 6

   ಈ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ಅತಿಕ್ರಮಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನನ್ನು ವಂಚಿಸಬಾರದು; ನಾವು ಮುಂಚೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಇವೆಲ್ಲವುಗಳ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನು ಮುಯ್ಯಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸುವ ವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

   That no [man] go beyond and defraud his brother in [any] matter: because that the Lord [is] the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.

7. 7

   ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅಶುದ್ಧತೆಗೆ ಕರೆಯದೆ ಶುದ್ಧತೆಗೆ ಕರೆದನು.

   For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

8. 8

   ಹೀಗಿರಲು ತಾತ್ಸಾರ ಮಾಡು ವವನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನಲ್ಲ, ತನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧಾತ್ಮನನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿರುವ ದೇವರನ್ನೇ ತಾತ್ಸಾರ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.

   He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.

9. 9

   ಆದರೆ ಸಹೋದರ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಬರೆಯುವದು ಅವಶ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ; ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸ ಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೀವೇ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಹೊಂದಿದವರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

   But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

10. 10

    ಸಮಸ್ತ ಮಕೆದೋನ್ಯ ದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಹೋದರರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವರಾಗಿಯೇ ಇದ್ದೀರಿ; ಆದರೂ ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ನೀವು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಾ ಬರಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ.

    And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more;

    ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾವು ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನೀವು ಸುಮ್ಮನಿದ್ದು ಸ್ವಂತಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನೇ ನಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಕೈಯಾರೆ ಕೆಲಸಮಾಡುವದನ್ನು ಕಲಿಯಿರಿ.

    And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

12. 12

    ಹೀಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನೀವು ಹೊರಗಿನವರ ಎದುರಿ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕರಾಗಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ. ನಿಮಗೆ ಯಾವದಕ್ಕೂ ಕೊರತೆಯಿರುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

    That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and [that] ye may have lack of nothing.

13. 13

    ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಬೇರೆಯವರ ಹಾಗೆ ದುಃಖಿಸಿದಂತೆ ನಿದ್ರೆಹೋದವರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ತಿಳಿದಿರಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾನು ಇಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

    But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14. 14

    ಯೇಸು ಸತ್ತು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಎದ್ದನೆಂದು ನಾವು ನಂಬಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದರಂತೆ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಲ್ಲಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ನಿದ್ರೆಹೋಗುವವರನ್ನು ಸಹ ದೇವರು ಆತನೊಡನೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವನೆಂದು ನಂಬ ಬೇಕಲ್ಲವೇ.

    For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15. 15

    ನಾವು ಕರ್ತನ ಮಾತಿನ ಆಧಾರದಿಂದ ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ, ಕರ್ತನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷನಾಗು ವವರೆಗೂ ಜೀವದಿಂದುಳಿದಿರುವ ನಾವು ನಿದ್ರೆಹೋದ ವರಿಗಿಂತ ಮುಂದಾಗುವದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

    For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16. 16

    ಕರ್ತನು ತಾನೇ ಆಜ್ಞಾಘೋಷದೊಡನೆಯೂ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ದೂತನ ಶಬ್ದದೊಡನೆಯೂ ದೇವರ ತುತೂರಿಯೊಡನೆಯೂ ಆಕಾಶದಿಂದ ಇಳಿದು ಬರುವನು; ಆಗ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸತ್ತವರು ಮೊದಲು ಎದ್ದು ಬರುವರು;

    For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17. 17

    ಆಮೇಲೆ ಜೀವದಿಂದುಳಿದಿರುವ ನಾವು ಅಂತರಿಕ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡಲೇ ಮೇಘ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಡುವೆವು. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಸದಾ ಕಾಲವೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವೆವು.ಆದ ಕಾರಣ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಸಂತೈಸಿರಿ.

    Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18. 18

    ಆದ ಕಾರಣ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಸಂತೈಸಿರಿ.

    Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
