ವೃದ್ಧನನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸದೆ ತಂದೆಯೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೇಳು. ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರನ್ನು ಸಹೋದರರೆಂದೂ
Rebuke not an elder, but intreat [him] as a father; [and] the younger men as brethren;
ವೃದ್ಧಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನ್ನು ತಾಯಂದಿ ರೆಂದೂ ಯೌವನ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣ ಪವಿತ್ರತೆ ಯಿಂದ ಸಹೋದರಿಯರೆಂದೂ ಎಣಿಸಿ ಅವರವರಿಗೆ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೇಳು.
The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.
ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ವಿಧವೆಯಾಗಿರುವವರನ್ನು ಗೌರ ವಿಸು; ಅವರು ವಿಧವೆಯರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರಲ್ಲಾ.
Honour widows that are widows indeed.
ಆದರೆ ಯಾವ ವಿಧವೆಗಾದರೂ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗಲಿ, ಮೊಮ್ಮಕ್ಕಳಾ ಗಲಿ, ಇದ್ದರೆ ಅವರೇ ಮೊದಲು ತಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಕ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುಪ ಕಾರ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಕಲಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ; ಇದು ದೇವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಗ್ಯವಾದದ್ದೂ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೆಯಾದದ್ದೂ ಆಗಿದೆ.
But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God.
ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದ ವಿಧವೆಯು ದೇವರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನಿಟ್ಟು ಹಗಲಿರುಳು ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಗಳ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರುವಳು.
Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.
ಆದರೆ ಭೋಗಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ವಿಧವೆಯು ಬದುಕಿರು ವಾಗಲೂ ಸತ್ತವಳೇ.
But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.
ಅವರು ನಿಂದೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗ ದಂತೆ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸು.
And these things give in charge, that they may be blameless.
ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಸ್ವಂತದವರನ್ನು, ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರನ್ನು ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿಸದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ಅವನು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಗಳೆ ದವನು ನಂಬದವನಿಗಿಂತ ಕೆಟ್ಟವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅರುವತ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಿದ್ದ ವಿಧವೆಯರನ್ನು ವಿಧವೆಯರ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಸಬೇಡ. ಅಂಥವಳಾ ದರೂ ಒಬ್ಬ ಗಂಡನಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದವಳೂ
Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man,
ಸತ್ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವಳೆಂದು ಹೆಸರುಗೊಂಡ ವಳೂ ಆಗಿರಬೇಕು; ಆಕೆಯು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಸಾಕಿದವಳಾ ಗಲಿ ಅತಿಥಿಸತ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದವಳಾಗಲಿ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಳೆದವಳಾಗಲಿ ಸಂಕಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದವರಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಿದವಳಾಗಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಲಿ ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವಳಾಗಲಿ ಆಗಿರ
Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints’ feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.
ಆದರೆ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥ ವಿಧವೆಯರನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿಸಬೇಡ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಿಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಗಲೊಲ್ಲದೆ ಮದಿಸಿ ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಇಷ್ಟಪ ಟ್ಟಾರು.
But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;
ಅಂಥವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮೊದಲಿನ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತೊರೆದು ದಂಡನೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರು ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಮನೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಮೈಗಳ್ಳತನವನ್ನು ಕಲಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಮೈಗಳ್ಳರಾಗುವದ ಲ್ಲದೆ ಹರಟೆ ಮಾತನ್ನಾಡುವರು ಮತ್ತು ಇತರರ ಕೆಲಸ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈಹಾಕುವವರಾಗಿ ಆಡಬಾರದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಾಡು ತ್ತಾರೆ.
And withal they learn [to be] idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
ಆದದರಿಂದ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥ ವಿಧವೆಯರು ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತು ಮನೆಯ ಕೆಲಸ ನಡಿಸುವದೇ ನನ್ನ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆ; ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುವದ ರಿಂದ ವಿರೋಧಿಯ ನಿಂದೆಗೆ ಆಸ್ಪದಕೊಡದೆ ಇರುವರು.
I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
ಇಷ್ಟರೊಳಗೆ ಕೆಲವರು ದಾರಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ಸೈತಾನನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
For some are already turned aside after Satan.
ನಂಬುವವರಾದ ಪುರುಷನ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಅಧೀನತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಧವೆಯರಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವರೇ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿ. ಸಭೆಯು ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದ ವಿಧವೆಯರಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ವಿಧವೆಯರು ಆ ಭಾರವನ್ನು ಸಭೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಬಾರದು.
If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed.
ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ನಡಿಸುವ ಹಿರಿಯರನ್ನು, ಅವ ರೊಳಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಬೋಧನೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕಷ್ಟಪಡುವವರನ್ನು ಇಮ್ಮಡಿಯಾದ ಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯರೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸಬೇಕು.
Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
ಕಣತುಳಿ ಯುವ ಎತ್ತಿನ ಬಾಯಿ ಕಟ್ಟಬಾರದೆಂತಲೂ--ಕೆಲಸ ದವನು ತನ್ನ ಕೂಲಿಗೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆಂತಲೂ ಬರಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ.
For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer [is] worthy of his reward.
(ಸಭೆಯ) ಹಿರಿಯನ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾರಾದರೂ ದೂರು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮೂವರು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳಿದ್ದ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ.
Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.
ಪಾಪಮಾಡುವವರನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲರ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ಗದರಿಸು; ಇದರಿಂದ ಮಿಕ್ಕಾದವರಿಗೂ ಭಯವುಂಟಾಗುವದು.
Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.
ನೀನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲೇ ತಪ್ಪು ಹೊರಿಸದೆಯೂ ಪಕ್ಷಪಾತದಿಂದ ಏನೂ ಮಾಡದೆಯೂ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿರುವ ದೂತರ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
I charge [thee] before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.
ಅವಸರದಿಂದ ಯಾರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಹಸ್ತಾರ್ಪಣೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಡ; ಮತ್ತು ಇತರರ ಪಾಪಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲುಗಾರನಾಗದೆ ನೀನು ುದ್ಧನಾಗಿರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನೋಡಿಕೋ
Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure.
ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಕುಡಿಯುವವನಾಗಿರದೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿನಗೆ ಆಗಾಗ್ಗೆ ಉಂಟಾ ಗುವ ಬಲಹೀನತೆಗಳಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೋ.
Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach’s sake and thine often infirmities.
ಕೆಲವರ ಪಾಪಗಳು ತೀರ್ಪಿಗೆ ಮೊದಲೇ ಬಹಿರಂಗವಾಗುತ್ತವೆ; ಕೆಲವರ ಪಾಪಗಳು ತರುವಾಯ ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ಕೆಲವರ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳು ಮೊದಲೇ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಗಿರುತ್ತವೆ. ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಗದಿರುವವುಗಳು ಮರೆ ಯಾಗಿರಲಾರವು.
Some men’s sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some [men] they follow after.
ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ಕೆಲವರ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳು ಮೊದಲೇ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಗಿರುತ್ತವೆ. ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಗದಿರುವವುಗಳು ಮರೆ ಯಾಗಿರಲಾರವು.
Likewise also the good works [of some] are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise can not be hid.
