Psalm 114 in Kannada

1. 1

   ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೊಳಗಿಂದಲೂ ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಮನೆ ತನವು ಅನ್ಯಭಾಷೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಜನರೊಳಗಿಂದಲೂ ಹೊರಟಾಗ

   When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;

   ಯೆಹೂದನು ಆತನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳವೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನು ಆತನ ದೊರೆತನವೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದರು.

   Judah was his sanctuary, [and] Israel his dominion.

   ಸಮುದ್ರವು ನೋಡಿ ಓಡಿಹೋಯಿತು; ಯೊರ್ದನ್‌ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿತು.

   The sea saw [it], and fled: Jordan was driven back.

   ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳು ಟಗರುಗಳ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳು ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಳ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಹಾರಾಡಿದವು.

   The mountains skipped like rams, [and] the little hills like lambs.

   ಸಮುದ್ರವೇ, ನಿನಗೆ ಏನಾಯಿತು? ಯಾಕೆ ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೀ? ಯೊರ್ದನೇ, ಯಾಕೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುತ್ತೀ?

   What [ailed] thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, [that] thou wast driven back?

   ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳೇ, ಟಗರುಗಳ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳೇ, ನೀವು ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಳ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಹಾರಾಡುವದು ಯಾಕೆ?

   Ye mountains, [that] ye skipped like rams; [and] ye little hills, like lambs?

   ಬಂಡೆಯನ್ನು ನೀರಿನ ಕೆರೆಗೂ ಬೆಣಚು ಕಲ್ಲನ್ನು ನೀರಿನ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಗೂ ಮಾರ್ಪಡಿಸುವಕರ್ತನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಯಾಕೋಬನ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಭೂಮಿಯೇ, ನಡುಗು.

   Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

   ಕರ್ತನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಯಾಕೋಬನ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಭೂಮಿಯೇ, ನಡುಗು.

   Which turned the rock [into] a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
