3. 33இவன் இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா அல்ல என்று இரதங்களின் தலைவர் கண்டு அவனைவிட்டு, விலகிப்போனார்கள்.
4. 34ஒருவன் நினையாமல் வில்லை நாணேற்றி எய்தான்; அது இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவினுடைய கவசத்தின் சந்துகளுக்குள் பட்டது; அப்பொழுது அவன் தன் சாரதியைப் பார்த்து: நீ திருப்பி என்னை இராணுவத்துக்கப்பால் கொண்டுபோ; எனக்குக் காயம்பட்டது என்றான்.
5. 35அன்றையதினம் யுத்தம் அதிகரித்தது; ராஜாவைச் சீரியருக்கு எதிராக இரதத்தில் நிறுத்திவைத்தார்கள்; சாயங்காலத்திலே அவன் இறந்துபோனான்; காயத்தின் இரத்தம் இரதத்தின் தட்டிலே வடிந்தது.
