இறுதியாகச் சவுல் தானே ராமாவிற்குப் போவதற்கு புறப்பட்டான். அவன் சேக்குவிலுள்ள பெரிய துரவுக்கு வந்தபோது, அங்கு நின்றவர்களிடம், “சாமுயேலும், தாவீதும் எங்கே?” என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு அங்கு நின்றவர்கள், “ராமாவிலுள்ள நாயோதிலே அவர்கள் இருக்கிறார்கள்” என்றார்கள்.

4. 23அப்பொழுது ராமாவுக்கடுத்த நாயோதிற்குப் போனான்; அவன் மேலும் தேவனுடைய ஆவி இறங்கினதினால் அவன் ராமாவுக்கடுத்த நாயோதிலே சேருமட்டும், தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லிக்கொண்டே நடந்துவந்து,
5. 24தானும் தன் வஸ்திரங்களைக் கழற்றிப்போட்டு, சாமுவேலுக்கு முன்பாகத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லி, அன்று பகல்முழுவதும் இராமுழுவதும் வஸ்திரம் இல்லாமல் விழுந்துகிடந்தான்; ஆகையினாலேசவுலும் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளில் ஒருவனோ என்பார்கள்.
