ஆனாலும் யெகோவாவின் கட்டளைப்படி மோசேயின் சட்ட புத்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருந்ததற்கு ஏற்றவாறு கொலைசெய்தவர்களின் மகன்களை அவன் கொல்லவில்லை. மோசேயின் சட்ட புத்தகத்தில், “பிள்ளைகளுடைய பாவங்களுக்காக பெற்றோரோ, பெற்றோரின் பாவங்களுக்காக பிள்ளைகளோ கொல்லப்படக்கூடாது. ஒவ்வொருவரும் தனது சொந்தப் பாவங்களுக்காகவே கொல்லப்படவேண்டும்” என்று எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

ஆனால் அவன் மோசேயின் சட்டங்களின் புத்தகத்தில் எழுதியுள்ளபடி, கொலையாளிகளின் குழந்தைகளைக் கொல்லவில்லை. கர்த்தர் தன் ஆணைகளையே அந்த புத்தகத்தில் மோசே மூலம் எழுதியுள்ளார். மோசே, “குழந்தைகள் செய்த தவறுக்காகப் பெற்றோர்கள் கொல்லப்படக்கூடாது. பெற்றோர்கள் செய்த தவறுக்காகப் பிள்ளைகள் கொல்லப்படக் கூடாது. ஒருவன் தான் செய்த தவறுகளுக்கு மாத்திரமே மரணத்தை அடையவேண்டும்” என்று எழுதியுள்ளான்.

5. 8அப்பொழுது அமத்சியா யெகூவின் குமாரனாகிய யோவாகாசின் குமாரன் யோவாஸ் என்னும் இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவிடத்தில் ஸ்தானாபதிகளை அனுப்பி: நம்முடைய சாமர்த்தியத்தைப் பார்ப்போம் வா என்று சொல்லச்சொன்னான்.
