யோயாக்கீம் பார்வோன் நேகோ கேட்டபடியே வெள்ளியையும், தங்கத்தையும் கொடுத்தான். அப்படிச் செய்வதற்காக நிலத்திற்கு அவன் வரி விதித்து மக்களுடைய சொத்துக்களுக்கு ஏற்ப அவர்களிடமிருந்து வெள்ளியையும், தங்கத்தையும் கட்டாயமாக வசூலித்தான்.

யோயாக்கீம் பார்வோன் நேகோவிற்கு வெள்ளியும் பொன்னும் அபராதமாக செலுத்தி வந்தான். இவன் இந்த அபராதத்தை ஜனங்கள் மீது வரியாகச் சுமத்தினான். எனவே நாட்டிலுள்ள ஒவ்வொருவனும் பொன்னும் வெள்ளியும் கொடுக்க வேண்டிவந்தது. இவற்றைத் தொகுத்து அதை அவன் பார்வோன் நேகோவிற்கு செலுத்தினான்.

4. 36யோயாக்கீம் ராஜாவாகிறபோது இருபத்தைந்து வயதாயிருந்து, பதினொரு வருஷம் எருசலேமில் அரசாண்டான்; ரூமா ஊரானாகிய பெதாயாமின் குமாரத்தியாகிய அவன் தாயின்பேர் செபுதாள்.
5. 37அவன் தன் பிதாக்கள் செய்தபடியெல்லாம் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்.
