ஆனால் எகிப்தை விட்டுப் புறப்பட்ட இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்கள் நாற்பதாண்டுகள் கழிந்தபின்னரே இவ்விடத்தை அடைந்தனர். நாற்பதாவது ஆண்டின் பதினோராவது மாதத்தின் முதல் நாளன்று, மோசே அந்த ஜனங்களிடம் பேசினான். அவர்களிடம் கூறுமாறு தேவன் கட்டளையிட்ட எல்லாவற்றையும் மோசே எடுத்துச் சொன்னான்.
