“ஆகையால், ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா கூறுவது இதுவே: நீங்கள் உங்களைச் சுற்றிலும் இருக்கிற தேசத்தாரைப் பார்க்கிலும் அடங்காதவர்களாயிருந்தீர்கள். நீங்கள் எனது கட்டளைகளையோ, சட்டங்களையோ பின்பற்றவும் கைக்கொள்ளவும் இல்லை. உங்களைச் சுற்றிலும் இருக்கிற பிறநாடுகளின் ஒழுங்குவிதிகளின்படி நடந்துகொள்ளவும் இல்லை.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye multiplied more than the nations that [are] round about you, [and] have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the nations that [are] round about you;
