யோயாக்கீன் யூதாவின் அரசன். இவன் பாபிலோனில் 37 ஆண்டுகள் சிறையில் இருந்தான். பாபிலோனின் அரசனான ஏவில் மெரொதாக் யோயாக்கீனுடன் இரக்கமாயிருந்தான். அவ்வாண்டில் யோயாக்கீனை சிறையைவிட்டு விடுவித்தான். இதே ஆண்டில்தான் ஏவில்மெரொதாக் பாபிலோனின் அரசன் ஆனான். ஏவில்மெரொதாக் 12வது மாதத்தின் 25ஆம் நாளன்று யோயாக்கீனை சிறையிலிருந்து விடுவித்தான்.
