சூரியன் அஸ்தமிக்கும் வேளையில் யோசுவா உத்தரவிட்டபடி, இஸ்ரயேலர் அவ்வுடல்களை இறக்கி முன்பு அரசர்கள் ஒளித்திருந்த குகைக்குள்ளே அவற்றை வீசினார்கள். குகை வாசலை பெரிய கற்களினால் மூடினார்கள். அவை இன்றுவரை அங்கே இருக்கின்றன.

4. 28அந்நாளிலே யோசுவா மக்கெதாவைப் பிடித்து, அதைப் பட்டயக்கருக்கினால் அழித்து, அதின் ராஜாவையும் அதிலுள்ள மனுஷராகிய சகல நரஜீவன்களையும், ஒருவரையும் மீதியாக வைக்காமல், சங்காரம்பண்ணி, எரிகோவின் ராஜாவுக்குச் செய்ததுபோல, மக்கெதாவின் ராஜாவுக்கும் செய்தான்.
