Judges 17 in Tamil

1. 1

   எப்பிராயீம் மலைத்தேசத்தானாகிய மீகா என்னும் பேருள்ள ஒரு மனுஷன் இருந்தான்.

   And there was a man of mount Ephraim, whose name [was] Micah.

2. 2

   அவன் தன் தாயை நோக்கி: உன்னிடத்திலிருந்த ஆயிரத்து நூறு வெள்ளிக்காசு களவுபோயிற்றே, அதைக்குறித்து என் காதுகள் கேட்க நீ சாபமிட்டாயே, அந்தப் பணம், இதோ, என்னிடத்தில் இருக்கிறது; அதை எடுத்தவன் நான்தான் என்றான். அதற்கு அவன் தாய்: என் மகனே, நீ கர்த்தரால் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுவாய் என்றாள்.

   And he said unto his mother, The eleven hundred [shekels] of silver that were taken from thee, about which thou cursedst, and spakest of also in mine ears, behold, the silver [is] with me; I took it. And his mother said, Blessed [be thou] of the LORD, my son.

3. 3

   அவன் அந்த ஆயிரத்து நூறு வெள்ளிக்காசைத் தன் தாயினிடத்தில் திரும்பக் கொடுத்தான்; அவள்: வெட்டப்பட்ட ஒரு சுரூபத்தையும் வார்ப்பிக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு விக்கிரகத்தையும் உண்டுபண்ண, நான் என் கையிலிருந்த இந்த வெள்ளியை என் மகனுக்காக முற்றிலும் கர்த்தருக்கென்று நியமித்தேன்; இப்போதும் இதை உனக்குத் திரும்பக் கொடுக்கிறேன் என்றாள்.

   And when he had restored the eleven hundred [shekels] of silver to his mother, his mother said, I had wholly dedicated the silver unto the LORD from my hand for my son, to make a graven image and a molten image: now therefore I will restore it unto thee.

4. 4

   அவன் அந்த வெள்ளியைத் தன் தாய்க்குத் திரும்பக் கொடுத்தான்; அப்பொழுது அவன் தாய் இருநூறு வெள்ளிக்காசை எடுத்து, தட்டான் கையிலே கொடுத்தாள்; அவன் அதினாலே, வெட்டப்பட்ட ஒரு சுரூபத்தையும் வார்ப்பிக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு விக்கிரகத்தையும் பண்ணினான்; அவைகள் மீகாவின் வீட்டில் இருந்தது.

   Yet he restored the money unto his mother; and his mother took two hundred [shekels] of silver, and gave them to the founder, who made thereof a graven image and a molten image: and they were in the house of Micah.

5. 5

   மீகா, சுவாமிக்கு ஒரு அறைவீட்டைநியமித்து வைத்திருந்தான்; அவன் ஒரு ஏபோத்தையும் சுரூபங்களையும் உண்டுபண்ணி, தன் குமாரரில் ஒருவனைப் பிரதிஷ்டைபண்ணினான்; இவன் அவனுக்கு ஆசாரியனானான்.

   And the man Micah had an house of gods, and made an ephod, and teraphim, and consecrated one of his sons, who became his priest.

6. 6

   அந்நாட்களில் இஸ்ரவேலிலே ராஜா இல்லை, அவனவன் தன்தன் பார்வைக்குச் சரிப்போனபடி செய்துவந்தான்.

   In those days [there was] no king in Israel, [but] every man did [that which was] right in his own eyes.

7. 7

   யூதாவிலுள்ள பெத்லகேம் ஊரானும் லேவியனுமான ஒரு வாலிபன் அங்கே தங்கியிருந்தான்.

   And there was a young man out of Beth-lehem-judah of the family of Judah, who [was] a Levite, and he sojourned there.

8. 8

   அந்த மனுஷன் எங்கேயாகிலும் பரதேசியாய்ப் போய்த் தங்கும்படிக்கு, யூதாவிலுள்ள பெத்லகேம் ஊரைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டுப் பிரயாணம் போகையில், எப்பிராயீம் மலைத்தேசத்தில் இருக்கிற மீகாவின் வீட்டில் வந்து சேர்ந்தான்.

   And the man departed out of the city from Beth-lehem-judah to sojourn where he could find [a place:] and he came to mount Ephraim to the house of Micah, as he journeyed.

9. 9

   எங்கே இருந்து வந்தாய் என்று மீகா அவனைக் கேட்டதற்கு, அவன்: நான் யூதாவிலுள்ள பெத்லெகேம் ஊரானாகிய லேவியன், எங்கேயாகிலும் போய்த் தங்கப்போகிறேன் என்றான்.

   And Micah said unto him, Whence comest thou? And he said unto him, I [am] a Levite of Beth-lehem-judah, and I go to sojourn where I may find [a place].

10. 10

    அப்பொழுது மீகா: நீ என்னிடத்தில் இரு, நீ எனக்குத் தகப்பனும் ஆசாரியனுமாயிருப்பாய்; நான் உனக்கு வருஷத்திலே பத்து வெள்ளிக்காசையும், மாற்று வஸ்திரத்தையும், உனக்கு வேண்டிய ஆகாரத்தையும் கொடுப்பேன் என்று அவனிடத்தில் சொன்னான்; அப்படியே லேவியன் உள்ளே போனான்.

    And Micah said unto him, Dwell with me, and be unto me a father and a priest, and I will give thee ten [shekels] of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy victuals. So the Levite went in.

11. 11

    அந்த லேவியன் அந்த மனிதனிடத்தில் இருக்கச் சம்மதித்தான்; அந்த வாலிபன் அவனுக்கு அவன் குமாரரில் ஒருவனைப்போல் இருந்தான்.

    And the Levite was content to dwell with the man; and the young man was unto him as one of his sons.

12. 12

    மீகா அந்த லேவியனைப் பிரதிஷ்டை பண்ணினான்; அந்த வாலிபன் அவனுக்கு ஆசாரியனாகி, மீகாவின் வீட்டில் இருந்தான்.

    And Micah consecrated the Levite; and the young man became his priest, and was in the house of Micah.

13. 13

    அப்பொழுது மீகா: எனக்கு ஆசாரியனாக ஒரு லேவியன் அகப்பட்டபடியினால், கர்த்தர் எனக்கு நன்மைசெய்வார் என்று இப்பொழுது அறிந்திருக்கிறேன் என்றான்.

    Then said Micah, Now know I that the LORD will do me good, seeing I have a Levite to [my] priest.
