3. 34அப்படியே அபிமெலேக்கும், அவனோடிருந்த சகல ஜனங்களும், இரவில் எழுந்துபோய், சீகேமுக்கு விரோதமாக நாலு படையாகப் பதிவிருந்தார்கள்.
4. 35ஏபேதின் குமாரன் காகால் புறப்பட்டு, பட்டணத்தின் ஒலிமுகவாசலில் நின்றான்; அப்பொழுது பதிவிருந்த அபிமெலேக்கு தன்னோடிருக்கிற ஜனங்களோடேகூட எழும்பிவந்தான்.
5. 36காகால் அந்த ஜனங்களைக் கண்டு: இதோ, மலைகளின் உச்சிகளிலிருந்து ஜனங்கள் இறங்கிவருகிறார்கள் என்றுசேபூலோடே சொன்னான். அதற்குச் சேபூல்: நீ மலைகளின் நிழலைக் கண்டு, மனுஷர் என்று நினைக்கிறாய் என்றான்.
