- 27जिस समय अपस्याह यहोवा के पीछे चलना छोड़कर फिर गया था उस समय से यरूशलेम में उसके विरूद्ध द्रोह की गोष्ठी होने लगी, और वह लाकीश को भाग गया। सो दूतों ने लाकीश तक उसका पीछा कर के, उसको वहीं मार डाला।
- 28तब वह घोड़ों पर रखकर पहुंचाया गया और उसे उसके पुरखाओं के बीच यहूदा के नगर में मिट्टी दी गई।
