1. 10अब जान लो कि जो वचन यहोवा ने अपने दास एलिय्याह के द्वारा कहा था, उसे उसने पूरा किया है; जो वचन यहोवा ने अहाब के घराने के विषय कहा, उस में से एक भी बात बिना पूरी हुए न रहेगी।
2. 11तब अहाब के घराने के जितने लोग यिज्रैल में रह गए, उन सभों को और उसके जितने प्रधान पुरुष और मित्र और याजक थे, उन सभों को येहू ने मार डाला, यहां तक कि उसने किसी को जीवित न छोड़ा।
3. 12तब वह वहां से चलकर शोमरोन को गया। और मार्ग में चरवाहों के ऊन कतरने के स्थान पर पहुंचा ही था,
4. 13कि यहूदा के राजा अहय्याह के भाई येहू से मिले और जब उसने पूछा, तुम कौन हो? तब उन्होंने उत्तर दिया, हम अहज्याह के भाई हैं, और राजपुत्रों और राजमाता के बेटों का कुशलक्षेम पूछने को जाते हैं।
5. 14तब उसने कहा, इन्हें जीवित पकड़ो। सो उन्होंने उन को जो बयालीस पुरुष थे, जीवित पकड़ा, और ऊन कतरने के स्थान की बावली पर मार डाला, उसने उन में से किसी को न छोड़ा।
