तब येहू रेकाब के पुत्र यहोनादाब को संग ले कर बाल के भवन में गया, और बाल के उपासकों से कहा, ढूंढ़ कर देखो, कि यहां तुम्हारे संग यहोवा का कोई उपासक तो नहीं है, केवल बाल ही के उपासक हैं। तब वे मेलबलि और होमबलि चढ़ाने को भीतर गए।

Tab yehoo rekaab ke putr yahonaadaab ko sang le kar baal ke bhavan mem gayaa, aur baal ke upaasakom se kahaa, dhoondh kar dekho, ki yahaam tumhaare sang yahovaa kaa koee upaasak to naheem hai, keval baal hee ke upaasak hain. Tab ve melabali aur homabali chadhaane ko bheetar gae.

King James Version (KJV): And Jehu went, and Jehonadab the son of Rechab, into the house of Baal, and said unto the worshippers of Baal, Search, and look that there be here with you none of the servants of the LORD, but the worshippers of Baal only.

24येहू ने तो अस्सी पुरुष बाहर ठहरा कर उन से कहा था, यदि उन मनुष्यों में से जिन्हें मैं तुम्हारे हाथ कर दूं, कोई भी बचने पाए, तो जो उसे जाने देगा उसका प्राण, उसके प्राण की सन्ती जाएगा।
25फिर जब होमबलि चढ़ चुका, तब येहू ने पहरुओं उौर सरदारों से कहा, भीतर जा कर उन्हें मार डालो; कोई निकलने न पाए। तब उन्होंने उन्हें तलवार से मारा और पहरुए और सरदार उन को बाहर फेंक कर बाल के भवन के नगर को गए।
