तब यहूदा के राजा हिजकिरयाह ने अश्शूर के राजा के पास लाकीश को कहला भेजा, कि मुझ से अपराध हुआ, मेरे पास से लौट जा; और जो भर तू मुझ पर डालेगा उसको मैं उठाऊंगा। तो अश्शूर के राज ने यहूदा के राजा हिजकिरयाह के लिये तीन सौ किक्कार चान्दी और तीस किक्कार लोना ठहरा दिया।
Tab yahoodaa ke raajaa hijakirayaah ne ashshoor ke raajaa ke paas laakeesh ko kahalaa bhejaa, ki mujh se aparaadh huaa, mere paas se laut jaa; aur jo bhar too mujh par daalegaa usako maim uthaaoongaa. To ashshoor ke raaj ne yahoodaa ke raajaa hijakirayaah ke liye teen sau kikkaar chaandee aur tees kikkaar lonaa thaharaa diyaa.

- 15तब जितनी चान्दी यहोवा के भवन और राजभवन के भणडारों में मिली, उस सब को हिजकिरयाह ने उसे दे दिया।
- 16उस समय हिजकिरयाह ने यहोवा के मन्दिर के किवाड़ों से और उन खम्भों से भी जिन पर यहूदा के राजा हिजकिरयाह ने सोना मढ़ा था, सोने को छीलकर अश्शूर के राजा को दे दिया।
