तब अम्नोन ने तामार से कहा, भोजत को कोठरी में ले आ, कि मैं तेरे हाथ से खाऊं। तो तामार अपनी बनाई हुई पूरियों को उठाकर अपने भाई अम्नोन के पास कोठरी में ले गई।

Tab amnon ne taamaar se kahaa, bhojat ko kotharee mem le aa, ki maim tere haath se khaaoon. To taamaar apanee banaaee huee pooriyom ko uthaakar apane bhaaee amnon ke paas kotharee mem le gaee.

King James Version (KJV): And Amnon said unto Tamar, Bring the meat into the chamber, that I may eat of thine hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought [them] into the chamber to Amnon her brother.

12उस ने कहा, हे मेरे भाई, ऐसा नहीं, मुझे भ्रष्ट न कर; क्योंकि इस्राएल में ऐसा काम होना नहीं चाहिये; ऐसी मूढ़ता का काम न कर।
