Aur too apane liye maarg bhee taiyaar karanaa, aur apane desh ke jo teraa parameshvar yahovaa tujhe saump detaa hai teen bhaag karanaa, taaki har ek khoonee vaheem bhaag jaae.

King James Version (KJV): Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may flee thither.

4और जो खूनी वहां भाग कर अपने प्राण को बचाए, वह इस प्रकार का हो; अर्थात वह किसी से बिना पहिले बैर रखे वा उसको बिना जाने बूझे मार डाला हो
5जैसे कोई किसी के संग लकड़ी काटने को जंगल में जाए, और वृक्ष काटने को कुल्हाड़ी हाथ से उठाए, और कुल्हाड़ी बेंट से निकल कर उस भाई को ऐसी लगे कि वह मर जाए तो वह उस नगरों में से किसी में भाग कर जीवित रहे;
