ನನ್ನ ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ನೀವು ಪಾಪಮಾಡ ದಂತೆ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಬರೆಯು ತ್ತೇನೆ. ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದರೆ ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀತಿವಂತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ನಮಗೆ ಪಕ್ಷವಾದಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
ಆತನು ನಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತವಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ವಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಲೋಕದ ಪಾಪಗಳಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತವಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for [the sins of] the whole world.
ನಾವು ಆತನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯು ವದರಿಂದಲೇ ಆತನನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲವರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆಂದು ತಿಳು ಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ.
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
ಒಬ್ಬನು--ನಾನು ಆತನನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಆತನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನು ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಾರನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಸತ್ಯವು ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲ.
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಆತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆದರೆ ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ದೇವರ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದಲೇ ನಾವು ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ದೇವೆಂಬದನ್ನು ತಿಳುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ.
But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆ ಗೊಂಡವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದು ಹೇಳುವವನು ಆತನು ನಡೆ ದಂತೆಯೇ ತಾನೂ ನಡೆಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಬದ್ಧನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಬರೆಯುವದು ಹೊಸ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಲ್ಲ, ಮೊದಲಿನಿಂದಲೂ ನಿಮಗಿದ್ದ ಹಳೆಯ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಾಗಿದೆ; ಈ ಹಳೆಯ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯು ಮೊದಲಿನಿಂದಲೂ ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿದ ವಾಕ್ಯವೇ.
Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.
ತಿರಿಗಿ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಬರೆಯುವದು ಹೊಸ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯೇ; ಇದು ಆತನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕತ್ತಲೆಯು ಕಳೆದುಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ.ನಿಜವಾದ ಬೆಳಕು ಈಗ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸುತ್ತಲಿದೆ.
Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.
ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುವವನು ಈವರೆಗೂ ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನು ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಟಂಕವಾದದ್ದು ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
ಆದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುವವನು ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಕತ್ತಲೆಯು ಅವನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರುಡು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ತಾನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೋ ಎಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದು.
But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.
ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ಆತನ ಹೆಸರಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಬರೆಯುತ್ತೇನೆ.
I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.
ತಂದೆಗಳೇ, ಆದಿಯಿಂದಿರುವಾತ ನನ್ನು ನೀವು ಬಲ್ಲವರಾಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಬರೆಯುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರೇ, ನೀವು ಕೆಡುಕನನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಿಮಗೆ ಬರೆಯುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿರಾ, ನೀವು ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲವರಾಗಿರುವದ ರಿಂದ ನಿಮಗೆ ಬರೆಯುತ್ತೇನೆ.
I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him [that is] from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.
ತಂದೆಗಳೇ, ಆದಿ ಯಿಂದಿರುವಾತನನ್ನು ನೀವು ಬಲ್ಲವರಾಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಿಮಗೆ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರೇ, ನೀವು ಶಕ್ತರಾಗಿ ರುವದರಿಂದಲೂ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆ ಗೊಂಡಿರುವದರಿಂದಲೂ ನೀವು ಕೆಡುಕನನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸಿ ರುವದರಿಂದಲೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him [that is] from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.
ಲೋಕವನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವವುಗಳ ನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಲೋಕ ವನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದರೆ ತಂದೆಯ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ಅವನಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Love not the world, neither the things [that are] in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವವುಗಳೆಲ್ಲವು ಅಂದರೆ ಶರೀರದಾಶೆ, ಕಣ್ಣಿನಾಶೆ, ಜೀವನದ ಗರ್ವ ಇವು ತಂದೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಪಟ್ಟವುಗಳಲ್ಲ, ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವುಗಳಾಗಿವೆ.
For all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
ಲೋಕವು ಅದರ ಆಶೆಯೂ ಗತಿಸಿಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ, ಆದರೆ ದೇವರ ಚಿತ್ತವನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವವನು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಇರುವನು.
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ಇದು ಕಡೇ ಗಳಿಗೆಯಾಗಿದೆ;ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತವಿರೋಧಿಯು ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆಂದು ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಈಗಲೂ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ವಿರೋಧಿಗಳು ಬಹುಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ; ಇದರಿಂದ ಇದು ಕಡೇ ಗಳಿಗೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನಾವು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ.
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದರು; ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮವ ರಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಇರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದದರಿಂದ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಮ್ಮವರಲ್ಲವೆಂಬದು ತೋರಿಬಂತು.
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would [no doubt] have continued with us: but [they went out], that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಪವಿತ್ರನಾಗಿರುವಾತನಿಂದ ಅಭಿಷೇಕವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ ವರಾಗಿದ್ದು ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದವರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
ನೀವು ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯದವರೆಂತಲ್ಲ, ನೀವು ಅದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದಿರು ವದರಿಂದಲೂ ಯಾವ ಸುಳ್ಳೂ ಸತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧವಾದ ದ್ದಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನೀವು ತಿಳಿದವರಾಗಿರುವದರಿಂದಲೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಬರೆದೆನು.
I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
ಯೇಸುವು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನೆಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಗಳೆಯುವವನೇ ಹೊರತು ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಾರನು ಯಾರು? ತಂದೆಯನ್ನೂ ಮಗನನ್ನೂ ಅಲ್ಲಗಳೆಯುವವನೇ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತವಿರೋಧಿ ಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
ಯಾವನು ಮಗನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಗಳೆ ಯುವನೋ ಅವನು ತಂದೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿದವನಲ್ಲ; ಯಾವನು ಮಗನನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನೋ ಅವನು ತಂದೆಗೂ ಸೇರಿದವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [[but] he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also].
ನೀವಂತೂ ಯಾವದನ್ನು ಮೊದಲಿನಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೀರೋ ಅದು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರಲಿ. ಮೊದಲಿನಿಂದ ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೆ ನೀವು ಸಹ ಮಗನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತಂದೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿ ರುತ್ತೀರಿ.
Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವದ ವಾಗ್ದಾನವೇ ಆತನು ನಮಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ವಾಗ್ದಾನವಾಗಿದೆ.
And this is the promise that he hath promised us, [even] eternal life.
ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ವಂಚಿಸುವವರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಇವು ಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
These [things] have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
ಆದರೆ ಆತನಿಂದ ನೀವು ಹೊಂದಿದ ಅಭಿಷೇಕವು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರುವದರಿಂದ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶಮಾಡುವದು ಅವಶ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಆ ಅಭಿಷೇಕವೇ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶ ಮಾಡುವಂಥ ದಾಗಿದ್ದು ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಸುಳ್ಳಲ್ಲ, ಅದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಆತನಲಿ
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ಆತನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷನಾಗು ವಾಗ ನಾವು ಆತನ ಆಗಮನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಲು ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡದೆ ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದಿರುವಂತೆ ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರ್ರಿ.ಆತನು ನೀತಿವಂತನಾಗಿ ದ್ದಾನೆಂಬದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಆತನಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ನೀವು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
ಆತನು ನೀತಿವಂತನಾಗಿ ದ್ದಾನೆಂಬದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಆತನಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ನೀವು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
