ಆಗ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಯಾದ ನಾತಾನನು ಅಂದರು. ಅವನು ಒಳಗೆ ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಮೋರೆ ಕೆಳಗಾಗಿ ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡ್ಡ ಬಿದ್ದನು. ಆಗ ನಾತಾನನು--ಓ ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೇ,
Aaga arasanige--igo, pravaadi yaada naataananu andaru. Avanu olage arasana munde bandaaga more kelagaagi nelakke adda biddanu. Aaga naataananu--o arasanaada nanna odeyane,

- 23ಆಗ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಯಾದ ನಾತಾನನು ಅಂದರು. ಅವನು ಒಳಗೆ ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಮೋರೆ ಕೆಳಗಾಗಿ ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡ್ಡ ಬಿದ್ದನು. ಆಗ ನಾತಾನನು--ಓ ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೇ,
- 24ಅದೋನೀಯನು ನನ್ನ ತರುವಾಯ ಆಳುವನೆಂದೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವನೆಂದೂ ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು ಹೌದೋ?
- 25ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಅವನು ಇಳಿದು ಹೋಗಿ ಎತ್ತು ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅನೇಕ ವಾಗಿ ಕೊಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಅರಸನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಎಬ್ಯಾತಾರನನ್ನೂ ಕರೆದಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ. ಇಗೋ, ಅವರು ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆ ತಿಂದು, ಕುಡಿದು--ಅರಸನಾದ ಅದೋನೀಯನನ್ನು ದೇವರು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿ ಎಂದು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ.
