ಆಗ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಅದೋ ನೀಯನು ನಿನಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಇಗೋ, ಅವನು ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಕೊಂಬುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು --ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನನಗೆ ಆಣೆ ಇಡಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

51ಆಗ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಅದೋ ನೀಯನು ನಿನಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಇಗೋ, ಅವನು ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಕೊಂಬುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು --ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನನಗೆ ಆಣೆ ಇಡಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
52ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೊಲೊ ಮೋನನು--ಅವನು ಉತ್ತಮನಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನ ಕೂದಲಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾದರೂ ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬೀಳದು; ಆದರೆ ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನವು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದರೆ ಅವನು ಸಾಯುವನು ಅಂದನು.ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಕರೆಸಿದಾಗ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಬಂದು ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡ ಬಿದ್ದನು. ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗು ಅಂದನು.
53ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಕರೆಸಿದಾಗ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಬಂದು ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡ ಬಿದ್ದನು. ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗು ಅಂದನು.
