ಕರ್ತನು ಎಲೀಯನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಹೇಳಿದ ವಾಕ್ಯದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಮಡಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹಿಟ್ಟು ತೀರದೆ ತಂಬಿಗೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಣ್ಣೆಯು ಮುಗಿಯದೆ ಇತ್ತು.

- 18ಆಗ ಅವಳು ಎಲೀಯ ನಿಗೆ--ಓ ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೇ, ನನಗೂ ನಿನಗೂ ಏನು? ನನ್ನ ಅಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಪಡಿಸುವ ದಕ್ಕೂ ನನ್ನ ಮಗನು ಸಾಯುವದಕ್ಕೂ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿಯೋ ಅಂದಳು.
