ಹೀಗೆ ಅಹಾಬನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ ಕರ್ಮೆಲ್‌ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿದನು.

- 19ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಬಾಳನ ನಾನೂರ ಐವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಈಜೆಬೇಲಳ ಮೇಜಿನ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಭೋಜನ ಮಾಡುವ ತೋಪುಗಳ ನಾನೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರ್ಮೆಲ್‌ ಬೆಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂಡಿಸು ಅಂದನು.
- 20ಹೀಗೆ ಅಹಾಬನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ ಕರ್ಮೆಲ್‌ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿದನು.
- 21ಆಗ ಎಲೀಯನು ಸಕಲ ಜನರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು--ನೀವು ಎರಡು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಷ್ಟರ ವರೆಗೂ ನಿಂತವರಾಗಿ ಇರುವಿರಿ. ಕರ್ತನು ದೇವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿರಿ; ಬಾಳನು ದೇವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿರಿ ಅಂದನು. ಜನರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಮಾತಾದರೂ ಹೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
- 22ಆಗ ಎಲೀಯನು ಜನರಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನೊಬ್ಬನೇ ಉಳಿದಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಆದರೆ ಬಾಳನ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳು ನಾನೂರಐವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.
