ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಮಾರ್ಗ ದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೆಲ್ಯರನ್ನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇ ಪಿಸಿದ ನೆಬಾಟನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಡೆದನು.ಅವನು ಬಾಳನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದನು.
