ಅವನು ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಗೋತ್ರವನ್ನು ಅದರ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಹತ್ತಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದಾಗ ಮಟ್ರಿಯ ಕುಟುಂಬವು ಆರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು. ಮತ್ತು ಕೀಷನ ಮಗನಾದ ಸೌಲನು ಆರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವಾಗ ಅವನು ಸಿಕ್ಕಲಿಲ್ಲ.

King James Version (KJV): When he had caused the tribe of Benjamin to come near by their families, the family of Matri was taken, and Saul the son of Kish was taken: and when they sought him, he could not be found.

19ಆದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಡುಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟುಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರನ್ನು ನೀವು ಈ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ--ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಿರಿ. ಆದದ ರಿಂದ ಈಗ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಹಸ್ರಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರವಾ ಗಿಯೂ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.
20ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸವಿಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬರ ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಗೋತ್ರವು ಆರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.
21ಅವನು ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಗೋತ್ರವನ್ನು ಅದರ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಹತ್ತಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದಾಗ ಮಟ್ರಿಯ ಕುಟುಂಬವು ಆರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು. ಮತ್ತು ಕೀಷನ ಮಗನಾದ ಸೌಲನು ಆರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವಾಗ ಅವನು ಸಿಕ್ಕಲಿಲ್ಲ.
22ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಈಗ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವನೋ ಎಂದು ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದರು. ಕರ್ತನು--ಇಗೋ, ಅವನು ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
23ಆಗ ಅವರು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರೆತಂದರು. ಅವನು ಜನರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವಾಗ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಭುಜದಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರಿಗಿಂತ ಎತ್ತರವಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
