ಆದರೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ದೂತನು ಸೌಲನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು--ನೀನು ತ್ವರೆಯಾಗಿ ಬಾ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ದಂಡೆತ್ತಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಅಂದನು.
Aadare obba dootanu saulana balige bandu--neenu tvareyaagi baa; yaakandare philishtiyaru deshada mele dandetti bandiddaare andanu.

- 25ಸೌಲನೂ ಅವನ ಮನುಷ್ಯರೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಲು ಬಂದರು. ಇದು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಾಗ ಅವನು ಬಂಡೆಗೆ ಇಳಿದು ಮಾವೋನಿನ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿದನು. ಅದನ್ನು ಸೌಲನು ಕೇಳಿ ಮಾವೋನಿನ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾವೀದ ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿದನು.
- 26ಸೌಲನು ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋದನು; ದಾವೀದನೂ ಅವನ ಜನರೂ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಆ ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋದರು; ಸೌಲನಿಗೆ ಭಯ ಪಟ್ಟು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲು ದಾವೀದನು ತ್ವರೆ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ಸೌಲನೂ ಅವನ ಮನುಷ್ಯರೂ ಹಿಡಿ ಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡರು.
- 27ಆದರೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ದೂತನು ಸೌಲನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು--ನೀನು ತ್ವರೆಯಾಗಿ ಬಾ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ದಂಡೆತ್ತಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಅಂದನು.
- 28ಸೌಲನು ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟುವದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯ ರಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಹೋದನು. ಆದಕಾರಣ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಶಿಲಾಹಮಹ್ಲೆಕೋತ್‌ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟರು.ದಾವೀದನು ಆ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಿ ಏಂಗೆದಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಲವಾದ ಗವಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿದನು.
- 29ದಾವೀದನು ಆ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಿ ಏಂಗೆದಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಲವಾದ ಗವಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿದನು.
