ಇಗೋ, ಕರ್ತನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಗವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟನೆಂಬದನ್ನು ಈ ದಿನ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ನೋಡಿದವು. ಕೆಲವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಲು ಹೇಳಿದರು; ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸಿತು; ನಾನು--ಅವನು ಕರ್ತನ ಅಭಿಷಿಕ್ತನಾದದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಕೈ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಚಾಚೆನು ಅಂದೆನು.

King James Version (KJV): Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how that the LORD had delivered thee to day into mine hand in the cave: and [some] bade [me] kill thee: but [mine eye] spared thee; and I said, I will not put forth mine hand against my lord; for he [is] the LORD’s anointed.
World English Bible (WEB): Behold, today your eyes have seen how the LORD had delivered you today into my hand in the cave. Some urged me to kill you, but I spared you. I said, ‘I will not stretch out my hand against my lord, for he is the LORD’s anointed.’

8ತರುವಾಯ ದಾವೀದನು ಎದ್ದು ಗವಿ ಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಸೌಲನ ಹಿಂದೆ--ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೇ ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿದನು. ಸೌಲನು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ದಾವೀದನು ನೆಲದ ವರೆಗೆ ಬೊಗ್ಗಿ ವಂದಿಸಿದನು.
9ದಾವೀದನು ಸೌಲನಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ದಾವೀದನು ನಿನಗೆ ಕೇಡುಮಾಡ ಹುಡುಕು ತ್ತಾನೆಂದು ಹೇಳುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಯಾಕೆ ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀ?
10ಇಗೋ, ಕರ್ತನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಗವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟನೆಂಬದನ್ನು ಈ ದಿನ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ನೋಡಿದವು. ಕೆಲವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಲು ಹೇಳಿದರು; ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸಿತು; ನಾನು--ಅವನು ಕರ್ತನ ಅಭಿಷಿಕ್ತನಾದದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಕೈ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಚಾಚೆನು ಅಂದೆನು.
11ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೇ, ನೋಡು; ಹೌದು, ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಿನ್ನ ನಿಲುವಂಗಿಯ ಅಂಚನ್ನು ನೋಡು. ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕದೆ ನಿನ್ನ ನಿಲುವಂಗಿಯ ಅಂಚನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನವು ದ್ರೋಹವು ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪಮಾಡ ಲಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದೂ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ನೋಡು. ಹೀಗಿದ್ದರೂ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯಲು ಬೇಟೆಯಾಡುತ್ತೀ.
12ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸಲಿ, ಕರ್ತನು ತಾನೇ ನನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯ ಮುಯ್ಯಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ಮಾಡಲಿ; ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಕೈ ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
