ಬಾಲಕನಾದ ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಏಲಿಯ ಮುಂದೆ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿ ದ್ದನು. ಆ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ವಿರಳವಾಗಿತ್ತು; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾದ ದೇವದರ್ಶನವಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; [there was] no open vision.
ಆ ಕಾಲ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಆದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ, ಏಲಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲ ಗಿದ್ದನು; ನೋಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗದಂತೆ ಅವನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಮೊಬ್ಬಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು.
And it came to pass at that time, when Eli [was] laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, [that] he could not see;
ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವಿರುವ ಕರ್ತನ ಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರ ದೀಪವು ಆರಿಹೋಗು ವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಮಲಗಿದ್ದನು; ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಸಮುವೇಲನನ್ನು ಕರೆದನು.
And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God [was], and Samuel was laid down [to sleep;]
ಅದಕ್ಕ ವನು--ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಏಲಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ,--ಇಗೋ, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ; ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆದಿಯಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂದನು.
That the LORD called Samuel: and he answered, Here [am] I.
ಅದಕ್ಕವನು--ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಹೋಗಿ ಮಲಗಿಕೋ ಅಂದನು.
And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here [am] I; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down.
ಅವನು ಹೋಗಿ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಲಗಿದನು. ಕರ್ತನು--ಸಮುವೇಲನೇ ಎಂದು ಅವ ನನ್ನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಕರೆದನು. ಆಗ ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಎದ್ದು ಏಲಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ--ಇಗೋ, ಇದ್ದೇನೆ; ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆದಿಯಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವನು--ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಹೋಗಿ ಮಲ ಗಿಕೋ ಅಂದನು.
And the LORD called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, Here [am] I; for thou didst call me. And he answered, I called not, my son; lie down again.
ಆದರೆ ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಆ ವರೆಗೂ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಅರಿತವನೂ ಅಲ್ಲ; ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿರಲೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was the word of the LORD yet revealed unto him.
ಕರ್ತನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಮೂರನೇ ಸಾರಿ--ಸಮುವೇಲನೇ ಎಂದು ಕರೆದನು. ಅವನು ಎದ್ದು ಏಲಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ--ಇಗೋ, ಇದ್ದೇನೆ; ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆದಿಯಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಹುಡುಗನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆಂದು ಏಲಿಯು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.
And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here [am] I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child.
ಏಲಿಯು ಸಮುವೇಲ ನಿಗೆ--ಹೋಗಿ ಮಲಗು; ಆತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆದಾಗ ನೀನು--ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಮಾತನಾಡು; ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸನು ಕೇಳು ತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳು ಅಂದನು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಸಮು ವೇಲನು ಹೋಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗಿದನು.
Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಬಂದು ನಿಂತು ಮೊದಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೇಸಮುವೇಲನೇ, ಸಮುವೇಲನೇ ಎಂದು ಕರೆದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮುವೇಲನು--ಮಾತನಾಡು; ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.
And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.
ಕರ್ತನು ಸಮುವೇಲನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಕಾರ್ಯ ವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವೆನು; ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವವನ ಎರಡು ಕಿವಿಗಳೂ ಘಣಘಣಿಸುವವು;
And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle.
ನಾನು ಏಲಿಯ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಾನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅಂತ್ಯ ವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
In that day I will perform against Eli all [things] which I have spoken concerning his house: when I begin, I will also make an end.
ತನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರರು ತಮ್ಮ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟತ ನಕ್ಕೆ ಈಡಾದಾಗ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹತೋಟಿಗೆ ತರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವನಿಗೆ, ಅವನು ತಿಳಿದ ದುಷ್ಟತನದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನಾನು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಅವನ ಮನೆಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯ ತೀರಿಸುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not.
ಆದದರಿಂದ ಏಲಿಯ ಮನೆಯ ದುಷ್ಟತನವು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಬಲಿ ಯಿಂದಲಾದರೂ ಅರ್ಪಣೆಯಿಂದಲಾದರೂ ಶುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಲ್ಪಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಏಲಿಯ ಮನೆ ಯನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಆಣೆ ಇಟ್ಟೆನು ಅಂದನು.
And therefore I have sworn unto the house of Eli, that the iniquity of Eli’s house shall not be purged with sacrifice nor offering for ever.
ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಉದಯದವರೆಗೂ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದು ಕರ್ತನ ಮನೆಯ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆದನು. ಆದರೆ ಸಮುವೇಲನು ದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಏಲಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲು ಭಯ ಪಟ್ಟನು.
And Samuel lay until the morning, and opened the doors of the house of the LORD. And Samuel feared to shew Eli the vision.
ಆಗ ಏಲಿಯು ಸಮುವೇಲನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಸಮುವೇಲನೇ ಅಂದನು.
Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my son. And he answered, Here [am] I.
ಅದಕ್ಕವನು--ಇಗೋ, ಇದ್ದೇನೆ ಅಂದನು. ಏಲಿ ಯು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತೇನು? ನನಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಮರೆಮಾಡಬೇಡ. ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಸಕಲ ವಾರ್ತೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಯಾವದನ್ನಾದರೂ ನನಗೆ ಮರೆಮಾಡಿದರೆ ದೇವರು ನಿನಗೆ ಅದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಅಧಿಕವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಲಿ ಅಂದನು.
And he said, What [is] the thing that [the Lord] hath said unto thee? I pray thee hide [it] not from me: God do so to thee, and more also, if thou hide [any] thing from me of all the things that he said unto thee.
ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಒಂದನ್ನೂ ಮರೆಮಾಡದೆ ಆ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವನು--ಅದು ಕರ್ತನದೇ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಆತನು ಸರಿತೋರುವದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಿ ಅಂದನು.
And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It [is] the LORD: let him do what seemeth him good.
ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದನು; ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದು ಆತನ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾ ದರೂ ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೋಗಗೊಡಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.
ಆಗ ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಕರ್ತನ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಿರಮಾಡಲ್ಪ ಟ್ಟನೆಂದು ದಾನ್‌ ಊರು ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಬೇರ್ಷ ಬದ ವರೆಗೂ ಇದ್ದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದರು.ಕರ್ತನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಶೀಲೋವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಕರ್ತನು ಶೀಲೋವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯದಿಂದ ಸಮು ವೇಲನಿಗೆ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.
And all Israel from Dan even to Beer-sheba knew that Samuel [was] established [to be] a prophet of the LORD.
ಕರ್ತನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಶೀಲೋವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಕರ್ತನು ಶೀಲೋವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯದಿಂದ ಸಮು ವೇಲನಿಗೆ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.
And the LORD appeared again in Shiloh: for the LORD revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD.
