ಕೂಗುವ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ಏಲಿಯು ಕೇಳಿ ದಾಗ--ಆ ಗುಂಪಿನ ಶಬ್ದ ಏನು ಅಂದನು.

- 13ಅವನು ಬರು ವಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಏಲಿಯು ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ನಡುಗುತ್ತಾ ಇರುವದರಿಂದ ಆಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಕುಳಿತಿ ದ್ದನು. ಊರಲ್ಲಿ ವರ್ತಮಾನ ತಿಳಿಸಲು ಆ ಮನು ಷ್ಯನು ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದಾಗ ಪಟ್ಟಣವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೂಗಿತು.
- 14ಕೂಗುವ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ಏಲಿಯು ಕೇಳಿ ದಾಗ--ಆ ಗುಂಪಿನ ಶಬ್ದ ಏನು ಅಂದನು.
- 15ಆಗ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತ್ವರೆಯಾಗಿ ಬಂದು ಏಲಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು.
- 16ಏಲಿಯು ತೊಂಬತ್ತೆಂಟು ವರುಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದವ ನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ನೋಡದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಮೊಬ್ಬಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಏಲಿಗೆ--ಯುದ್ಧರಂಗ ದಿಂದ ಬಂದವನು ನಾನೇ; ನಾನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಯುದ್ಧರಂಗದಿಂದ ಓಡಿಬಂದೆ ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನು--ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ವರ್ತಮಾನವೇನು ಅಂದನು.
