1. 2ಆಗ ಆಸನು ಕರ್ತನ ಆಲಯದ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಅರಸನ ಮನೆಯ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸದಿಂದಲೂ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ದಮಸ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಅರಾಮಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಬೆನ್ಹದದನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೂ ಇದ್ದ ಹಾಗೆ ನನಗೂ ನಿನಗೂ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಉಂಟು.
2. 3ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಬಂಗಾರ ವನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸ ನಾದ ಬಾಷನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾಡಿದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿ ಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮುರಿಯಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
3. 4ಬೆನ್ಹದ ದನು ಅರಸನಾದ ಆಸನ ಮಾತು ಕೇಳಿ ತನ್ನ ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿ ಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಳು ಹಿಸಿದನು. ಅವರು ಇಯ್ಯೋನನ್ನೂ ದಾನನನ್ನೂ ಅಬೇ ಲ್ಮಯಿಮ್‌ವನ್ನೂ ನಫ್ತಾಲಿಯನ್ನು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಉಗ್ರಾಣ ಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದರು.
4. 5ಬಾಷನು ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ರಾಮವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸುವದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
5. 6ಆಗ ಅರಸನಾದ ಆಸನು ಯೆಹೂದದವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡುಹೋದನು. ಬಾಷನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ರಾಮದ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅದರ ತೊಲೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು; ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ಗೆಬವನ್ನೂ ಮಿಚ್ಪೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು.
