ಯೋಷೀಯನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು. ಆದರೆ ಇವನು ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ--ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೇ, ನನಗೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಏನು? ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಲ್ಲ, ನಾನು ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವ ಮನೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುತ್ತೇನೆ; ತ್ವರೆಮಾಡು ಎಂದು ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಾಶ ಮಾಡದ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀನು ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರು.
Yosheeyanu avana mele yuddhakke hodanu. Aadare ivanu yosheeyana balige sevakarannu kaluhisi--yehoodada arasane, nanage ninage enu? Ee hottu ninna mele alla, naanu yuddhamaaduva maneya mele baruttene; tvaremaadu endu devaru nanage heliddaane. Nanna sangada iruva devaru ninnannu naasha maadada haage neenu aatana munde summaniru.

- 21ಯೋಷೀಯನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು. ಆದರೆ ಇವನು ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ--ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೇ, ನನಗೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಏನು? ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಲ್ಲ, ನಾನು ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವ ಮನೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುತ್ತೇನೆ; ತ್ವರೆಮಾಡು ಎಂದು ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಾಶ ಮಾಡದ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀನು ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರು.
- 22ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಯೋಷೀ ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಅವನ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಿಸದೆ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಲು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರೆ ಮಾಜಿದನು. ಅವನು ದೇವರ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಬಂದ ನೆಕೋನನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳದೆ ಮೆಗಿದ್ದೋನು ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡ ಬಂದನು.
- 23ಆಗ ಬಿಲ್ಲುಗಾ ರರು ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಮೇಲೆ ಎಸೆದರು; ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆಚೆಗೆ ಒಯ್ಯಿರಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಬಹು ಗಾಯಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
