ಅವನು ಎದ್ದು ಹೊರಟು ಸಮಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದನು. ಯೇಹುವು ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕುರುಬರು ಉಣ್ಣೆ ಕತ್ತರಿಸುವ ಮನೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ

- 10ಆದರೆ ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದವರಾರು? ಕರ್ತನು ಅಹಾ ಬನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಹೇಳಿದ ಕರ್ತನ ಮಾತು ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೂ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗುವದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನೀವು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಕರ್ತನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಎಲೀಯನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.
- 11ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಯೇಹುವು ಅಹಾಬನಿಗೆ ಯಾರನ್ನೂ ಉಳಿಯಗೊಡಿಸದೆ ಇರುವ ವರೆಗೂ ಇಜ್ರೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಉಳಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನೆಯವರನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹಿರಿಯರನ್ನೂ ನೆಂಟರನ್ನೂ ಯಾಜಕರನ್ನೂ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದನು.
- 12ಅವನು ಎದ್ದು ಹೊರಟು ಸಮಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದನು. ಯೇಹುವು ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕುರುಬರು ಉಣ್ಣೆ ಕತ್ತರಿಸುವ ಮನೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ
- 13ಯೆಹೂ ದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಹಜ್ಯನ ಸಹೋದರರನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ಯಾರು ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವರು--ನಾವು ಅಹಜ್ಯನ ಸಹೋದರರು; ಅರಸನ ಮಕ್ಕ ಳನ್ನೂ ರಾಣಿಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ವಂದಿಸಲು ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇವೆ ಅಂದರು.
- 14ಆಗ ಅವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಜೀವದಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿಯಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಅವನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಇವರನ್ನು ಜೀವದಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದು ಉಣ್ಣೆ ಕತ್ತರಿಸುವ ಮನೆಯ ಕುಣಿಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದರು. ಅವರು ನಲವತ್ತೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನೂ ಉಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
