ಯೇಹುವಿನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಏಳನೇ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ವರುಷ ಆಳಿದನು.

King James Version (KJV): In the seventh year of Jehu Jehoash began to reign; and forty years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name [was] Zibiah of Beer-sheba.

2ಅವನ ತಾಯಿಯು ಬೇರ್ಷೆಬ ಊರಿನವಳಾದ ಚಿಬ್ಯಳು. ಆದರೆ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾ ದಾವನು ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಿಯಾದ ದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.
3ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳು ಮಾತ್ರ ಕೆಡವಲ್ಪಡದೆ ಇದ್ದವು; ಜನರು ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನೂ ಧೂಪವನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು.
