1. 19ಆದರೆ ಅಶ್ಶೂರದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಪೂಲನು ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂದನು. ಆಗ ಮೆನಹೇಮನು ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಧೃಢಪಡಿಸಲು ಅವನ ಕೈ ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಪೂಲನಿಗೆ ಸಾವಿರ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ತಲಾಂತು ಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
2. 20ಮೆನಹೇಮನು ಈ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನವರಿಂದ ಬರಮಾಡಿದನು. ಹೇಗಂದರೆ, ಅಶ್ಶೂರದ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಲು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತ ರಿಂದ ತಲಾ ಐವತ್ತು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಶೆಕೇಲುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡನು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅಶ್ಶೂರದ ಅರಸನು ದೇಶ ದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲದೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋದನು.
3. 21ಮೆನಹೇಮನ ಇತರ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳೂ ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸುಗಳ ವೃತ್ತಾಂತಗಳ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ?
4. 22ಮೆನಹೇಮನು ತನ್ನ ಪಿತೃ ಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ನಿದ್ರಿಸಿದನು; ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಪೆಕ ಹನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅರಸನಾದನು;
5. 23ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಜರ್ಯನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಐವತ್ತನೇ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೆನಹೇಮನ ಮಗನಾದ ಪೆಕಹನು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಎರಡು ವರುಷ ಆಳಿದನು.
