29ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ಜನಾಂಗದವರೂ ತಾವು ನಿವಾಸಿಸಿದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಮಗೆ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದವರು ಮಾಡಿದ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಇರಿಸಿದರು.
30ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಜನರು ಸುಕ್ಕೋತ್ಬೆನೋತನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು; ಕೂತದವರು ನೇರ್ಗಲನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು; ಹಮಾತಿನ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಅಷೀಮನನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು.
31ಅವ್ವೀಯರು ನಿಭಜನನ್ನೂ ತರ್ತಕನನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿ ದರು. ಸೆಫರ್ವಯಿಮಿನವರು ಸೆಫರ್ವಾಯಿಮಿನ ದೇವ ರುಗಳಾದ ಅದ್ರಮ್ಮೆಲಕಿಗೂ ಅನಮ್ಮೆಲಕಿಗೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
32ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನೀಚ ರೊಳಗೆ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಯಾಜಕರನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡರು. ಇವರು ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು.
