ಅವನು ಬಂದ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿಯೇ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋಗುವನು; ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
Avanu banda maargavaagiye tirigi hoguvanu; aadare avanu ee pattanadalli baruvadillavendu kartanu heluttaane.

- 34ನನ್ನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೂ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೂ ನಾನು ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿ ಅದನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವೆನು ಎಂಬದೇ.
- 35ಅದೇ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏನಾಯಿತಂದರೆ, ಕರ್ತನ ದೂತನು ಹೊರಟು ಅಶ್ಶೂರಿನ ದಂಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಲಕ್ಷ ಎಂಭತ್ತೈದು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದನು. ಉದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ಎದ್ದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಸತ್ತು ಹೆಣಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
