ಈ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಕಲ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಾನು ಆದುಕೊಂಡ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನನ್ನ ನಾಮವನ್ನು ಯುಗಯುಗಕ್ಕೂ ಇರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೂ ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೂ ಯಾವದನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನೋ ಆ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಾನು ಮಾಡಿದ ತೋಪಿನ ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟನು.

5ಕರ್ತನ ಮನೆಯ ಎರಡು ಅಂಗಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕಾಶದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸೈನ್ಯಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು.
6ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಟುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು; ಮೇಘ ಮಂತ್ರ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸರ್ಪಮಂತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿದನು; ಯಕ್ಷಿಣಿ ಗಾರರ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ಮಂತ್ರಜ್ಞರ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ವಿಚಾರಿ ಸಿದನು; ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಲು ಆತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.
7ಈ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಕಲ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಾನು ಆದುಕೊಂಡ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನನ್ನ ನಾಮವನ್ನು ಯುಗಯುಗಕ್ಕೂ ಇರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೂ ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೂ ಯಾವದನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನೋ ಆ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಾನು ಮಾಡಿದ ತೋಪಿನ ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟನು.
8ಕರ್ತನು --ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೂ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೂ ಮಾಡಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರು ಕೈಕೊಂಡರೆ ನಾನು ಅವರ ತಂದೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಅವರ ಪಾದಗಳು ಇನ್ನು ಕದಲುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
9ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಕೇಳದೆ ಹೋದರು; ಕರ್ತನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮುಂದೆ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿದ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಅಧಿಕ ವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ಅವರನ್ನು ಮಾರ್ಗ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.
