2. 16ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಹದದೆಜೆರನು ನದಿಗೆ ಆಚೆ ಇದ್ದ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕರೇಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಹೇಲಾಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು; ಹದದೆಜೆರನ ಸೈನ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧಿ ಪತಿಯಾದ ಶೋಬಕನು ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆದನು.
3. 17ಅದು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಾಗ ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಯೊರ್ದನನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ಹೇಲಾಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು. ಅರಾಮ್ಯರು ದಾವೀದ ನಿಗೆದುರಾಗಿ ವ್ಯೂಹಕಟ್ಟಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದರು.
4. 18ಆಗ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಎದುರಿನಿಂದ ಓಡಿದರು. ದಾವೀದನು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳು ನೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಸಾರಥಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಕುದುರೆ ರಾಹುತ ರನ್ನೂ ಕೊಂದು ಅವರ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಯಜಮಾನನಾದ ಶೋಬಕನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದನು; ಅವನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಸತ್ತನು.ಹದದೆಜೆರನ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಅರಸುಗಳೆ ಲ್ಲರೂ ತಾವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊಡೆಯ ಲ್ಪಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಕಂಡಾಗ ಅವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಮಾಧಾನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಿದರು.ಹೀಗೆ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರು ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನು ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
5. 19ಹದದೆಜೆರನ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಅರಸುಗಳೆ ಲ್ಲರೂ ತಾವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊಡೆಯ ಲ್ಪಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಕಂಡಾಗ ಅವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಮಾಧಾನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಿದರು.ಹೀಗೆ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರು ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನು ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
