ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕಳಿಗೆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಕುಮಾರರಿದ್ದರು; ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಡೆದಾಡಿದರು; ಅವ ರನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲದ್ದರಿಂದ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದನು.

- 5ಅರಸನು ಅವಳಿಗೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಏನಾಯಿತು ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವಳು--ನಾನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ವಿಧವೆ ಯಾದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು; ನನ್ನ ಗಂಡನು ಸತ್ತುಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
- 6ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕಳಿಗೆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಕುಮಾರರಿದ್ದರು; ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಡೆದಾಡಿದರು; ಅವ ರನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲದ್ದರಿಂದ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದನು.
- 7ಆದದರಿಂದ ಇಗೋ, ಕುಟುಂಬದವರೆಲ್ಲರು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕಳ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದು--ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋ ದರನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದವನನ್ನು ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರನ ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ನಾವು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಬಾಧ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸಹ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿಬಿಡುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ದರು. ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಅವರು ನನಗೆ ಉಳಿದಿರುವ ನನ್ನ ಕೆಂಡವನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನನ್ನ ಗಂಡನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನೂ ಸಂತಾನವನ್ನೂ ಉಳಿಯ ಬಿಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದಳು.
- 8ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಗೆ--ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗು; ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
