ದಾವೀದನೂ ಅವನ ಸೇವಕರೂ ದಾರಿ ಹಿಡಿದು ಹೋಗುವಾಗ ಶಿಮ್ಮಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವವಾಗಿ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆದುರಾಗಿ ನಡೆದು ದೂಷಿಸಿ ಅವನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಮಣ್ಣನ್ನು ತೂರಿ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಎಸೆದನು.

11ದಾವೀದನು ಅಬೀಷೈಗೂ ತನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೂ--ಇಗೋ, ನನ್ನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ನನ್ನ ಮಗನು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿದರೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಅಧಿಕವಾಗಿ ಈ ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನ್ಯನಾದವನು ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡುವದು ಯಾವ ದೊಡ್ಡಮಾತು? ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡಿರಿ; ಅವನು ದೂಷಿಸಲಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
12ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಶ್ರಮೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಈ ದಿನ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ ದೂಷಣೆಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯಾಗಿ ನನಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬಹುದು ಅಂದನು.
13ದಾವೀದನೂ ಅವನ ಸೇವಕರೂ ದಾರಿ ಹಿಡಿದು ಹೋಗುವಾಗ ಶಿಮ್ಮಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವವಾಗಿ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆದುರಾಗಿ ನಡೆದು ದೂಷಿಸಿ ಅವನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಮಣ್ಣನ್ನು ತೂರಿ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಎಸೆದನು.
14ಅರಸನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರೂ ನಡೆದು ದಣಿದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.
15ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಜನರೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಅಹೀತೋಫೆಲನೂ ಯೆರೂ ಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು
