ಹೂಷೈಯು ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಅಹೀತೋಫೆಲನು ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅವನ ಮಾತಿನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾಡೋಣವೋ? ಬೇಡವಾದರೆ, ನೀನು ಮಾತ ನಾಡು ಅಂದನು.

Hooshaiyu abshaalomana balige bandaaga abshaalomanu avanige--aheetophelanu ee prakaara heliddaane. Avana maatina prakaara maadonavo? Bedavaadare, neenu maata naadu andanu.

5ಆದರೆ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಅರ್ಕೀಯನಾದ ಹೂಷೈಯನ್ನು ನಾವು ಕೇಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.
6ಹೂಷೈಯು ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಅಹೀತೋಫೆಲನು ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅವನ ಮಾತಿನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾಡೋಣವೋ? ಬೇಡವಾದರೆ, ನೀನು ಮಾತ ನಾಡು ಅಂದನು.
7ಆಗ ಹೂಷೈ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮ ನಿಗೆ--ಅಹೀತೋಫೆಲನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯು ಈ ವೇಳೆಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದಲ್ಲ.
8ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೂ ಅವನ ಜನರೂ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳು; ಅವರು ಅಡವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳಕೊಂಡ ಕರಡಿಯ ಹಾಗೆ ರೋಷ ವುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ನೀನು ಬಲ್ಲೆ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಶೂರನು; ಅವನು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರ ಸಂಗಡ ತಂಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
