ಅರಸನು--ಕಿಮ್ಹಾಮನು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬರಲಿ; ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದಾಗಿರುವದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು; ನಿನಗೆ ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
Arasanu--kimhaamanu nanna sangada barali; ninna drushtige olledaagiruvadannu naanu avanige maaduvenu; ninage nanninda bekaadaddellaa maaduvenu andanu.

- 38ಅರಸನು--ಕಿಮ್ಹಾಮನು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬರಲಿ; ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದಾಗಿರುವದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು; ನಿನಗೆ ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
- 39ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರು ಯೊರ್ದನನ್ನು ದಾಟಿದರು. ಅರಸನು ದಾಟಿ ಬಂದಾಗ ಬರ್ಜಿಲ್ಲೈ ಯನ್ನು ಮುದ್ದಿಟ್ಟು ಅವನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದನು.
- 40ಆಗ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿದನು. ಅರಸನು ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿಗೆ ತೆರಳಿದನು; ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಕಿಮ್ಹಾಮನು ತೆರಳಿದನು; ಯೆಹೂದದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರ್ಧ ಪಾಲು ಜನರೂ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು.
