ಅನ್ಯಜನರೂ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರೂ ಕೂಡಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರನ್ನು ಅವಮಾನಪಡಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆದು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಪ್ರವರ್ತಿಸಿದಾಗ

3ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯಗಳೂ ಅದ್ಭುತಕಾರ್ಯ ಗಳೂ ಆಗುವಂತೆ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಕೃಪಾವಾಕ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಬಹುಕಾಲ ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
4ಆದರೆ ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಜನಸಮೂಹದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಭೇದವುಂಟಾಗಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಪಕ್ಷದವರಾದರು. ಕೆಲವರು ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರ ಪಕ್ಷದವರಾದರು.
5ಅನ್ಯಜನರೂ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರೂ ಕೂಡಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರನ್ನು ಅವಮಾನಪಡಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆದು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಪ್ರವರ್ತಿಸಿದಾಗ
6ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರು ಅದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದು ಲುಕವೋನ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಲುಸ್ತ್ರ ದೆರ್ಬೆ ಎಂಬ ಊರುಗಳಿಗೂ ಅವುಗಳ ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವ ಸೀಮೆಗೂ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ
7ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರಿದರು.
