ಮರುದಿನ ಕುದುರೆ ಸವಾರರು ಅವನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಾವು ಕೋಟೆಗೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿದರು.

31ಆಗ ತಮಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಾದಂತೆ ಸೈನಿಕರು ಪೌಲನನ್ನು ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತಿಪತ್ರಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು.
32ಮರುದಿನ ಕುದುರೆ ಸವಾರರು ಅವನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಾವು ಕೋಟೆಗೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿದರು.
33ಅವರು ಕೈಸರೈಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಅಧಿಪತಿಗೆ ತಲುಪಿಸಿ ಪೌಲನನ್ನು ಸಹ ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
34ಆ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯು ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಓದಿ ಪೌಲನು ಯಾವ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದವನು ಎಂದು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವನು ಕಿಲಿಕ್ಯದವನೆಂದು ತಿಳುಕೊಂಡು--ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ತಪ್ಪು ಹೊರಿಸುವವರು ಬಂದಾಗ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೆರೋದನ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟು ಕಾಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
