ಬೆಳಗಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಪೌಲನು ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನಾಗಿ--ಏನೂ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಕಾದುಕೊಂಡು ಉಪವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವದು ಇದು ಹದಿನಾಲ್ಕನೆಯ ದಿವಸ.

- 34ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕ್ಷೇಮಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರ ತಲೆ ಯಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಕೂದಲೂ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೋಗು ವದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
