2. 24ಅವನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆಲವರು ನಂಬಿ ದರು; ಆದರೆ ಕೆಲವರು ನಂಬದೆ ಹೋದರು.
3. 25ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಭಾಗವಾದಾಗ ಪೌಲನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಯೆಶಾಯನು ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿಹಿತ ವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--
4. 26ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿದರೂ ಕೇಳಿ ಗ್ರಹಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನೋಡಿದರೂ ನೋಡಿ ಕಾಣುವದಿಲ್ಲ;
5. 27ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಂದ ನೋಡಿ ಕಿವಿಗಳಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿ ಹೃದಯದಿಂದ ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ ಮಾರ್ಪಾಟು ಹೊಂದದಂತೆಯೂ ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ಮಾಡ ದಂತೆಯೂ ಈ ಜನರ ಹೃದಯವು ಕೊಬ್ಬೇರಿತು; ಕೇಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರ ಕಿವಿಗಳು ಮಂದವಾದವು; ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ
