2. 3ಆಗ ಈ ದಾನಿ ಯೇಲನಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಆತ್ಮವು ಇರುವದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಪ್ರಧಾನರಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ದೇಶಾಧಿಪತಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠನಾ ಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅರಸನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಮಸ್ತ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಲು ಮನಸ್ಸುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
3. 4ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಪ್ರಧಾನಿಗಳೂ ದೇಶಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳೂ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಭಾರದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತಪ್ಪುಹೊರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂದರ್ಭ ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ತಪ್ಪು ದೋಷವು ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ತಪ್ಪೂ ಸಿಗಲಾರದೆ ಹೋಯಿತು.
4. 5ಆಗ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು --ಈ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಅವನ ದೇವರ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ತಪ್ಪು ಸಿಗುವದೇ ಹೊರತು ನಮಗೆ ಇನ್ನೆಲ್ಲೂ ಸಿಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಅಂದು ಕೊಂಡರು.
5. 6ಆಗ ಪ್ರಧಾನರೂ ದೇಶಾಧಿಪತಿಯೂ ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿ ಕೂಡಿಬಂದು ಹೀಗೆಂದರು--ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾರ್ಯಾವೆಷನೇ, ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಬಾಳು.
